science experiment

Hi this is Aaron. My favorite subject is Science. In science I had an experiment.  My experiment was about water. Water has lots of cohesion. Juice, cooking oil, syrup, milk didn't stay together as much as water. Cohesion means that it always stays together.

my first day

Hi, this is Ella. Today is my first day of home school.

                                      This is me before school

Today I started Fifth Grade. The first thing I did  was get my mind working by doing an extra activity.  Today I wrote a poem. The next thing I did was Spelling. Today in Spelling I did my Pre Test. Then I did Reading. For Reading I wrote a paper on fairy tales that I am familiar with and unfamiliar with. Next was Grammar. In Grammar I wrote a Three page page paper on what I did this summer. Math. Today in Math I learned how to read large numbers on a place value chart and without a place value chart. Next was Social Studies. For Social Studies I Made a time line of the first colonies and the settlers in America. Last but not least was Science. In Science I learned about the Animal Kingdom.
I think Home School will be fun.

This blog will be for those who are interested in what our kids are learning and doing this year for home-school. Ella, Aaron, and Ashton will update the blog every week with whatever they want to share with you!

These are the kids' thoughts on homeschooling so far-----(We start on Monday)

Ella --" I am excited to do home school because we get to do a unit study on planets."
Aaron--"I'm excited about home school because we get to do lots of activities."
Ashton--" I am excited about home school because my mom is my teacher."

There you go. We are very excited to get this year started, and I am excited to see what they will put on the blog. So stay tuned....Feel free to comment- they would love to get feed- back from what they post.
