Spiders

We have been learning about spiders in science.Spiders are often thought of as insects but they are not. Spiders are called arachnids. Spiders have 8 legs and 2 main body parts. The body parts  are called the cephalothorax and the abdomen .Spiders do not have wings or antennas.  It is fun learning about spiders.

This is a picture that I drew today of a black widow spider.

  1. Great drawing of the Black Widow Aaron! Do you have Black Widow's in Idaho? What other kinds of spiders do you have around there? We used to get Black Widow's A LOT when we lived in California. Your mom probably remembers them.

  2. Ugh! We've found a couple black widows around our house. They are not my favorite spider. This is fun to read and I need to show it to Kaden. We just studied insects in preschool this past week. He learned that insects have 6 legs and spiders have 8.
